Gallery - Real Dreads
Chrissie is my longest running client and was my first regular job. I have seen Chrissies dreads develop over 10 years! She has the most incredible dreads came from her corkscrew curls. She has the most dreads out of all my clients at 52 dreads!

Hattie
Hattie is my friend and Tattoo Artist and we have been service-swapping for a long time now. Hattie got rid of her first set of dreads and then had them put back in by someone else later on and I have been doing a colour correction job on her over about 1.5 years now. She had some green dye in her hair that would not shift! So we have been covering with extension hair and what a result :

Clair
Clair came to me desperate for a solution to her problem with her hair. She wanted to give dreads a try so we went for it. She was struggling with the length once we had finished, so we decided to go for extensions. They looked fab once they were in and I think she was happy with the work that was done, but she decided not to continue her dread journey, sadly. You can't win them all!

Shraine
I did not create Shraine's original dreads, but I did maintain them for her for a little while. We experimented with wraps and side cuts, she had a very edgy look.

Jay
I did not create Jay's dreads but I did do maintenance for him before he moved back to Dorset

Dani
Dani had started with a bottom row of skinny dreads so I carried them on for him before he moved to Glastonbury.

Dave
I did not create Dave's dreads, and he has had them a very long time before I started maintaining them for him, but we have gotten his maintenance time right down to 1.5 hours

Rikki
Rikki was my first ever new dread job! I made these nearly a decade ago and he has had them maintained by someone else as we lost contact. When I saw him again a couple of years ago, I could not BELIEVE how beautiful they were and I felt so proud that these were my first ever set. They had obviously been looked after well.

Demelza
Demelza had a few baby dreads that needed maintenance and she decided to carry on to a half head with me before she moved away.

Kaz
Kaz has been my most ambitious project yet, and comes with a story. When I got to her, her dreads had been created by a man in Torquay who had used a dread machine that should only ever
be used on synthetic hair or sometimes on afro Caribbean hair, and it had torn her poor hair to shreds. I began by doing a tidy for her, but during this period I came to realise that she could
literally pull chunks of her hair out of her dreads and I knew that they would never mature and were damaged beyond repair. We decided together to embark on a journey of restarting her dreads which first involved brushing out what she had, which took about 4 hours (unheard of with a brush-out job) and then the real work began! We started again with what she had left and added extensions that she bought online (real hair). She then later decided she wanted them even longer, so we are in the process of extending again and working towards her finally being happy with her dread journey! I am happy with how it is going so far and with the extensions nearly done, we are just waiting for them to mature a bit before we start a colour to get them more uniform. Kaz has a specific look she wants to achieve and is employing me to help her get there and I feel honoured that she is trusting me to get this right for her. Message is : STAY AWAY FROM DREAD MACHINES OR PRACTITIONERS WHO USE THEM!

Lorraine
Creator of Kernow Healing Fields and The Holistic Wellness School, Lorraine, wanted to embark on her dread journey, after wearing synthetics for some time and understanding that this was
something she wanted to be more than a look for her, she invited me to help her dread dreams come true. We are both thrilled with how it is going so far :) here's to a long journey together!

Nigel
Nigel fell in love with having his mohawk braided and decided to go full time with it by getting dreads. Never have I seen a Dreadhawk suit someone more!

Kye

Kye is an aspriring rapper and a talented lyricist who wanted to exchange his wild, thick mane of hair for short dreads, so we went for it! He had so many! Looking forward to see how his relationship with them develops.

Others

Other pics I have from jobs over the years. People I only saw once or twice, and my own dreads.

Phil
Phil has chosen me to bring him into the Dread world and it's like he has always had them. Excited to see how these develop :)
